The design is named WhiteWing 27', drawn by naval architect Karl Stambaugh - Chesapeake Marine Design.<br /><br />The builder, who lives on Humboldt Bay in Northern California, spent four years carefully building Adagio. It is the best and last of six boats that he has built. His previous project, a 24' cruiser, was sold at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival. <br /><br />This particular design is excellent for cruising and general recreation on any kind of water. The hull was specifically designed to navigate Northwest waterways in all weather and conditions. Easily trailerable, the owners explored lakes throughout the Pacific Northwest, went south to cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around San Francisco Bay, CA and enjoyed the British Columbia waters of Desolation Sound, Toba Inlet, and beyond. Beautiful, custom, mahogany woodwork and cabinetry throughout. The cabin design offers wrap around views. The efficient galley affords easy meal prep and there’s plenty of storage for longer cruises. Meticulously crafted and quite unique in all categories of performance and aesthetics. A one of a kind vessel that you can be proud of.<br /><br />Hull<br />The entire hull is made of Hydrotek marine plywood, meeting British Standard BS1088, rated superior. The frame, sheathing, stem, and keel are screwed, glued with epoxy and reinforced with 4-6 layered cloth bands of graduated width, as stipulated by the plans.<br /><br />Finishes<br />Hull paint is Pettit Easypoxy off white.
